How to hang a skateboard deck on the wall

A deck is made to hang, not to ride. Mounted flush and level it reads as real wall art, no bulky bracket, no visible hardware. Here is the exact way we do it, and every skatedeco deck ships with the free flush hanger you need.

What's in the box

  • Your numbered deck, printed edge to edge
  • A free flush wall hanger (clips into the truck holes, sits invisible behind the deck)
  • Two wall screws + anchors for drywall
  • A quick-start card with this same method
  1. 1

    Choose the spot

Pick a wall at eye level, the deck's center around 59 inches (150 cm) from the floor. Keep it clear of direct sun and radiators so the print and wood stay true.

  2. 2

    Mark the top hole

Hold the deck where you want it, use a small level across the top, and mark through the top truck hole with a pencil. For a single deck one anchor point is enough; the hanger balances the rest.

  3. 3

    Drill and anchor

Drill the marked point with a 1/4-inch bit, tap in the wall anchor, and drive the screw so about 1/8 inch of it stands out from the wall. On a stud you can skip the anchor.

  4. 4

    Clip on the hanger

Push the flush hanger's pegs into the deck's truck holes. It grips the mounting holes already drilled in the maple, so nothing shows from the front.

  5. 5

    Hang and level

Rest the hanger on the screw head and let the deck settle flat to the wall. Set your level on the top edge and nudge until the bubble is centered.

  6. 6

    Live with it

Dust with a dry microfiber cloth. The matte seal means no glare from ceiling lights, so it looks right from every angle, day and night.

  • Hanging a set of three? Space the decks 3 to 4 inches apart and line up their centers, not their tops.
  • Renting? Use adhesive wall hooks rated for 5 lb instead of a screw, the flush hanger works the same way.
  • Mixing with framed prints? Keep the deck as the tallest element and let it anchor the arrangement.
Do I need special tools?

A drill, a 1/4-inch bit and a small level. Everything else, hanger, screws, anchors, is in the box, free, with every deck.

Will it damage the wall?

A single deck needs one small screw hole. On a rented wall, a 5 lb-rated adhesive hook leaves no hole at all.

Can I hang it without drilling into the deck?

No drilling into the deck is ever needed, the truck holes are already there from manufacturing, and the flush hanger clips straight into them.

How heavy is a deck?

A single 8.25-inch maple deck weighs about 3 lb, well within any standard drywall anchor or 5 lb adhesive hook.
